Olyokminsky District (Russian: Олёкминский улу́с; Sakha: Өлүөхүмэ улууһа) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion, or ulus), one of the thirty-four in the Sakha Republic, Russia. The area of the district is 160,800 square kilometers (62,100 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Olyokminsk.[2] District's population: 26,771 (2010 Census preliminary results);[5] 27,563 (2002 Census);[9] 30,938 (1989 Census).[10] Population of Olyokminsk accounts for 35.4% of the district's population.[5]
